As long standing members of local VW club Wolfsburg Weed Huggers we were asked to make some trophies for the show and shine at their second Lazy Day event held in June 2013.
This seemed like a great excuse to play with some of our metal fabrication toys and excess left over paints and put them to a more artistic use.

A total of 5 trophies where made; best bug, best bus, best type?, best water cooled and best of show. each trophy had an bead rolled design and uniquely painted base made from a hub cap welded to a piston arm. 
Pin stripping, colour fades, faux vinyl, faux weathering and painted water droplet effects where used to create the 2013 range specially for the show.
